This Privacy Policy was updated on September 26, 2017.

This privacy policy governs the use of Konceptual Me (“Konceptual Me”, “we”, “us”) application and website or other online services (our “service”). It covers how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store information about our users (“you”). We encourage you to read it. By using our service, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information we collect about you

We collect some personal information about you and also other kinds of information. Personal information is data that can be used to identify or contact a single person.

Information you provide

When you create an account with us, we collect the information you provide us in the registration form, such as email, password, username and similar. If we allow you to sign in using a third party service such as Facebook, and you choose to do so, we will collect the information provided to us by that service. In case of Facebook, this may include your public Facebook profile and other information available, according to your Facebook privacy settings.

In addition, we may collect and store any personal information you provide while using our service or in some other manner. This may include identifying information, such as your name, city or personal description.

An important part of Konceptual Me is the creation and sharing of content among users of our service. We may collect any information you provide us such as your questions and answers, your topics, and any information related to your interaction with other users.

Information from other sources

We may obtain both personal and non-personal information about you from business partners and other third parties.

Automatically Collected Information

We may automatically collect information from your browser or device when you use our Service. This information could include your IP address, information about your device, your browser type and language, access times, and the referring website address.

When you visit our Service, we may assign your device one or more cookies or other technologies that facilitate personalization to facilitate access to our Service and to personalize your experience. Through the use of a cookie, we also may automatically collect information about your activity on our Service, such as the pages you visit, the time and date of your visits and the links you click.

Pixel tags

We may embed pixel tags on web pages, ads, and emails. These tiny, invisible graphics are used to access cookies and track user activities (such as how many times a page is viewed). We use pixel tags to measure the popularity of our features and services.

How we use the information we collect

In general, we may use information that we collect about you to:

  • Deliver and improve our products and services;
  • Perform research and analysis about your use of, or interest in, our or others’ products, services, or content;
  • Communicate with you about products or services that may be of interest to you either from us or other third parties;
  • Develop, display, and track content and advertising tailored to your interests on our Service and other sites;

  • Perform functions or services as otherwise described to you at the time of collection.

With whom we share your information

Other users

When you register as a user of Konceptual Me, your Konceptual Me profile will be viewable by other users of the service. Excluding your email, all information you provide us directly or via third-party services (e.g. Facebook profile picture or name), may be shared with other users. You are responsible for the personal information you choose to share or submit in these instances.

It is important to remember that content creation and sharing is an important part of our service. Any personal information you choose to include in public content may be visible to other users. For example if you create a question/answer card and type in the question: “What is my email and password?”, and answer with your real email and password, this information may become visible to other users. Please take care with sensitive or personal information.

Service providers

We may share information, including personal information, with third parties that perform certain services on our behalf. These services may include fulfilling orders, providing customer service and marketing assistance, performing business and sales analysis, ad tracking and analytics, member screenings, supporting our service functionality, surveys and other features offered through our service. These service providers may have access to personal information needed to perform their functions but are not permitted to share or use such information for any other purposes.

We may disclose your information, including personal information:

  • In response to a subpoena or similar investigative demand, a court order, or a request for cooperation from a law enforcement or other government agency; to establish or exercise our legal rights; to defend against legal claims; or as otherwise required by law. In such cases, we may raise or waive any legal objection or right available to us.
  • When we believe disclosure is appropriate in connection with efforts to investigate, prevent, or take other action regarding illegal activity, suspected fraud or other wrongdoing; to protect and defend the rights, property or safety of our company, our users, our employees, or others; to comply with applicable law, other agreements or policies, or cooperate with law enforcement;
  • In case we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale.

Data retention

We keep your information only as long as we need it for legitimate business purposes and as permitted by applicable legal requirements. If you close your account, we will retain certain data for analytical purposes and recordkeeping integrity, as well as to prevent fraud, take actions we deem necessary to protect the integrity of our service or our users, or take other actions otherwise permitted by law. In addition, if certain information has already been provided to third parties as described in this Privacy Policy, retention of that information will be subject to those third parties’ policies.

How we protect your personal information

We take security measures to help safeguard your personal information from unauthorized access and disclosure. However, no system can be completely secure. Therefore, although we take steps to secure your information, we do not promise, and you should not expect, that your personal information, or other communications will always remain secure.

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

No Rights of Third Parties

This Privacy Policy does not create rights enforceable by third parties or require disclosure of any personal information relating to users of the website.
